We will be accepting two (2) successful candidates for this role. The Co-EICs will have the privilege of managing all aspects of the 31st publication run (issues 31.1 and 31.2) of Soliloquies Anthology. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity with an approximate time commitment of 5-10 hours per week.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

-Delegating tasks and communicating team expectations throughout the year

-Establishing a unique vision for the journal’s events, print content, and visual aesthetics

-Building and maintaining a realistic annual timeline for the journal’s operations

-Coordinating two print editions within the school term (this includes writing submission guidelines, organizing decision meetings, compiling print content, organizing print timelines with the press, and more)

-Managing the annual budget (building a projected budget, tracking all expenses and revenue, soliciting additional funding, etc.)

-Planning fundraising initiatives to supplement budget constrains when necessary

-Organizing literary events, including two publication launches and two open mic readings. The Co-EICs are solely in charge of sourcing a venue, organizing readers, structuring the event, and all other necessary tasks.

-Handling any conflict which may arise among the masthead, authorship, or readership

-Collaborating with other publications and members of the literary community

-Upholding Soliloquies Anthology’s mandate and long literary legacy
